Co-founder. A cultural worker who writes nonfiction and poetry. Her writing focuses on her working-class Irish American heritage and the oppression of peoples worldwide. Working on a memoir of her Irish family in the Pennsylvania coal mines.

Grew up in London, escaped Thatcher's England for the USA in 1981, and settled in San Francisco in 2002. Author of four novels and two nonfiction books. Lives within earshot of the Golden Gate foghorns.

Grew up on a farm in rural Wisconsin, studied Scholastic Philosophy, worked for social change in Minneapolis, then joined Local Union 510 in San Francisco. Since retiring in 2007 he gardens organically and walks at Candlestick Park.
